The final and one of the most important steps in the facial cleansing process is moisturizing. It's a common misconception that those with oily skin don't need more oil to moisturize their face, but in fact, their skin is overproducing oil because they aren't getting and keeping a good moisture cycle. Let me be real for just a moment. I honestly spent around 28 years of my life ONLY washing my face and forgetting all of the other important facial care steps. That's it. No toner, no moisturizer, just face wash. I really had no idea that to get clear and beautiful skin, I needed to do more than just wash my face. I needed to tone my face after washing and then follow with a moisturizer, but these were not steps I was taking and my face was trying to tell me so.
For years, I had been cleaning my face with the same harsh cleansers that the majority of the population uses to clean their faces. I tried Neutrogena, Clean & Clear, Biore, Loreal, Clearasil, and even Proactiv, but not one of them ever actually made my face any clearer. To say that I am not stressed out would be an understatement. For the most part, I have been so busy, that I haven't had the time to sit down and do my own mud masks once weekly like I am supposed to. I literally have to set an alarm to make sure I wash my face at least once a day. Sometimes, time just gets away from me, but not any longer! Out of desperation for more relaxation and socialization in my life, I came up with the idea for a weekly meet-up with my girlfriends that would take care of stress AND our faces skin.
