I am going to take a two day hiatus from writing articles, so that I can take the time to spend with my family! I hope you guys have a great 4th of July, and I will see you again on the 5th! Don’t forget to try out those no-meat burger recipes tomorrow!
Everyone has laundry to do. Some people do their own, while others do the whole household’s laundry. I am fortunate to have a Husband that does his own laundry. I do the household, Silas, and my own laundry. It is so nice not to have to worry about an extra person’s laundry!
The 4th of July is almost here and all that I can think of are burgers! I am a HUGE fan of grilling, even if it’s for vegetables. Yeah, you heard me right. I LOVE TO GRILL VEGETABLES. It is NOT blasphemous, so you should quit thinking that immediately. I was a griller before I […]
After buying a whole array of finger paints from Hobby Lobby, for Silas, and setting them all up, I realized there was this stench coming from them. It was a terrible chemical smell! The bottles say non-toxic but they most certainly don’t smell like they’re non-toxic. This situation made me realize that I could just […]
Andy LOVES chili. When I make chili, he takes the entire batch to work and eats it over a weeks period of time, all by himself. I find that hilarious, as I was never big on chili before we became vegetarians. I never really liked the flavor of ground beef. It always grossed me out. […]
Yesterday I got my Lavender essential oil (that I ordered from Amazon) in the mail. I was so very excited to see the UPS truck pull up to the house, that I nearly knocked my son over in the process to get to the door! I really wanted something that smelled less antiseptic than the […]
I am really big on comfort foods, and one of those comfort foods that my mother used to make me was meatloaf. I always loved meatloaf for what it is; a way to stuff all of your vegetables into a dish and hardly taste any of them at all! My grandmother (RIP) used to get […]
I love hummus because it makes for an AMAZING Mayo substitute on your burgers and sandwiches; but most of all it’s very healthy for you. Chickpeas (also known as garbanzo beans) are high in zinc, folate, and protein. They are also an excellent source for dietary fiber. Recent studies done, have shown chickpeas to aid […]
My husband used to tell me that he hated cauliflower because it was so “bland tasting”. Before we became vegetarians, Andy was obsessed with fried chicken, so what better way to help him get over his fears of cauliflower than to cook it the way he used to love his chicken? After eating the entire […]
I already have a lot of things to write about, but the first post is going to be about something to keep us all cool during these long hot summer days (and nights!!!), cantaloupe sorbet. Sorbet is one of my favorite iced treats because what it lacks in milk, it makes up for in dynamic […]
